Windsor House

Every Architect has that opportunity early in their career to design an addition to a house. For some it is an uncle that needs a garage extension. For others it's an opportunity to modify a set of plans found in "1000 House Plans" magazine. Some of us were fortunate enough to cross paths with that seemingly perfect project. The right piece of property, a client that has means and taste, and the freedom to show what we can do.

For Marc Pagani that came in the era of Miami Vice, Depeche Mode, and Ferris Bueller. A house Marc designed in Windsor, Ontario is now available. The house began as a small lake house when the owners contracted Pagani to bring their collective vision to life. While the era's trends are present the house is not over the top screaming "I'm '80's". Here you will see Marc's early appreciation for modern design, natural light, and an understated materials palette. Take away the green carpet (which Marc still protests) and a couple other touches and you will see a home that remains contemporary, aging well.
